last days

there is only about 5 days left of my stay here at krabbesholm. which means the days are hectic, planning the final exhibition, printing, last minute photographing. i've also started packing. it's a really strange feeling, the life i've lived the past 5 months is soon over. in other news, i've signed a contract for a room in oslo! so i'll most likely be living in oslo after the summer.

last week i did two shoots for my final project. they turned out pretty good and i can't wait to show you! however, my external hard disk is full so i can't really edit them properly yet. but here are some behind the scenes photos.

after the first shoot, i learned the painful way that i'm slightly allergic to mosquito bites. the photo doesn't really do them justice, and it was taken when the swelling had gone a bit down, but i had golf- and tennis ball sized mosquito bites all over my legs, and it was so swollen that it hurt more than it itched. for the second shoot i definitely remembered mosquito repellent.

i'll be staying in denmark this summer. which is nice and relaxing and just what i need. what are you doing this summer?

  1. ooh the same happened to me twice (as i didn't learn after the first time). i was shooting a friend of mine and soon we realized that it was more like an adventure than we had excepted as we got way too many mosquito and ant bites...

i'm really looking forward to see photos of your exhibition! i'm just having my first one and the job of editing all the photos and stuff like that was really exhausting..

about my summer plans, i'm heading to chile in next week for the whole summer! i'm so excited :) i hope you'll have a nice and relaxing summer!

  2. I love the truth expressed in all of your pictures. They're not over powered by props and makeup, you have a way of connecting the environment and the humans in it that is just beautiful. I admire you and your pictures so much, so pure and real.
I should be starting university in September so i'm planning to spend time with my friends and family. I cannot wait to indulge in literature, music and photography again!

  3. i have the same reaction to mosquito bites! terrible, isn't it? i learned that the trick is to take an antihistamine like benadryl immediately upon getting bitten. it takes down the swelling big time.

  5. Very nice, especially the first one. And I'm allergic to mosquitos too which sucks because they're pretty much impossible to avoid during summer.

  7. i love behind the scenes! these are great, can't wait to see the rest of the shoot! i spent a summer in america teaching on the water front and my legs just exploded with mosquito bites. i had to get them dressed and wrapped by the nurse, the kids thought this was hilarious. silly mosquitoes!
